Distance is the great-circle distance between the two airports, from their coordinates. For routes we cover from the UAE, the flight time is the real scheduled nonstop time; for any other pair it is estimated from the distance using a fixed overhead plus a typical cruise speed, calibrated against real flights. The time difference uses each airport's standard time-zone offset.

The distance is the great-circle (direct) distance between the two airports, calculated from their coordinates using the haversine formula. Real flight paths are a little longer.
Is the time difference accurate?
The time difference uses each airport's standard time-zone offset. It does not account for daylight saving changes, which shift some time zones by an hour for part of the year.
