Which visa applies to you
Most nationalities resident in the UAE apply for the Visitor visa (subclass 600). Citizens of certain European countries and the UK can use the eVisitor (subclass 651), and citizens of some other countries such as the US, Canada, Japan and Singapore can use the ETA (subclass 601). Your nationality decides which; your UAE residency lets you apply from the UAE.
How you apply
All subclass 600, eVisitor and ETA applications are filed online through the Australian government's ImmiAccount system. Where biometrics are required, a VFS Global centre in Dubai is the collection point. The decision is made by the Department of Home Affairs.
Documents commonly required
